Craft-and-sell profit (Estimate) (107)
In many recipes the product sells to NPCs for more than the NPC value of the inputs plus the fee. So crafting raw loot and then selling earns more karat than selling the loot directly.
Profit = product NPC price − Σ (input NPC price × qty) − fee
- (Verified) Phalanx Edge and the other parts with the same recipe: 22 × Ruined Feather + 15 × Light Feather + 200 fee, sells for 3,000 each (profit 2,309).
- (Verified) Slashing Sword of Vengeance and the other weapons of the same tier: input value 237,000 (incl. 225 × Extract of Vrocyan at NPC price), product 394,400.
- (Verified) Foundry Mold: 10 × Adamantine Ore + 1 × Iron Ingot + 5 × Azure Reinforcing Filler + 5,000 fee, sells for 12,500 (profit 3,042).
- (Verified) None of the recipes whose inputs are all sold in NPC shops makes a profit as “buy in the shop, craft, sell to an NPC”: profit only comes from crafting loot you gathered yourself.
