## How NPC selling is calculated (Verified)

The NPC sell price is fixed and does not depend on the town, tax or shop. The castle shop tax is added only to the buy price.

Sale = NPC sell price × quantity
In the tax zone the castle shop tax (%) is added to the buy price

- (Verified) No item sold in shops has an NPC sell price above its buy price: buying and reselling always loses money.
- (Verified) Shop tax does not affect selling; it does not matter in which town you sell loot.

## Resale ratio of shop items

NPC sell price divided by base buy price, by category. Weapons return about 14%, armor about 22%; skulls, runes and return scrolls almost nothing.
