Pickaxes, rods and lucky tools (54)
Which tool to buy: price, durability, duration and second-catch chance side by side.
- (Verified) There are two “Reinforced Pickaxe” pickaxes: one costs 10,000 karat with 1,600 durability, the other 90,000 with 16,000: 9× the price for 10× the durability. Per 1,000 durability 6,250 vs 5,625 karat; the big pickaxe is cheaper.
- (Verified) Old Pickaxe: 3,200 durability and sells to NPCs for 5,000 karat; not sold in shops.
- (Verified) Only pickaxes have durability: the tooltip shows “Durability : current / max”, there is a warning at every 10% of wear and “Pickaxe broke” at 0. Durability is not repaired, only spent.
- (Estimate) The Rental Pickaxe only mines the ore of Marcus; the Rental Fishing Rod only catches goldfish.
- (Estimate) Second-catch chance of lucky tools: normal 30%, Platinum Rod 50%, Ruby Pickaxe 75%, Diamond Pickaxe 100%.
- (Estimate) Lucky tools cannot be given to other characters; some Lucky Pickaxe versions lose their property if enchanted.
- (Verified) Shop tools have an NPC sell value of 0; only the Old Pickaxe can be sold back.
