Karos Wiki does not itself collect or store personal data about you; only the technically necessary connection data and the cookieless measurement data for aggregate visit statistics described below are processed by the hosting provider, Cloudflare. This policy explains which technical data is processed when you visit the site and what is stored in your browser, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Effective date: 18 October 2026 · This text is published in eight languages; in case of any discrepancy between translations, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Data controller
The data controller is Snajper (pseudonym), who runs the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. For any privacy questions or requests: karosrebirthwiki@gmail.com.
2. Summary
- There are no memberships, accounts, forms or comment fields; no personal information is requested from you.
- No advertising, tracking or profiling tools are used. Only a single cookieless tool for aggregate visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is used.
- There is no embedded third-party content (videos, social media plugins, maps, etc.); fonts are loaded from the site itself. Apart from Cloudflare (hosting and Web Analytics), no requests are sent to Google or any other third party.
- The site sets no cookies of its own.
- Only preferences you choose are stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage); this data never leaves your device.
3. Cookies
Karos Wiki does not set any cookies. Only in exceptional cases, for example when a security check is performed because of unusual traffic, may the hosting provider Cloudflare use a strictly necessary security cookie. Such a cookie is subject to Cloudflare’s own policy and is not used to track or identify you. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies.
4. Local storage (localStorage)
To make the site easier to use, it uses your browser’s local storage. The information stored there stays on your device only; it is never sent anywhere and the site operator cannot access it. The following keys are used:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
karos_lang | The interface language you selected. |
karos_theme | The colour theme you selected (light or dark). |
karos_lv | The character level you entered; used for level-based suggestions. |
karos_cls | The character class you selected; used on guide and planning pages. |
karos_cmp | Items you added to the comparison list (up to 4). |
karos_recent | Pages you visited recently (up to 12); shown on the home page. |
karos_state | Your filter and sort choices on list pages (search text is not stored). |
karos_consent | Your choice in the notice (“Accept” or “Essential only”). |
These keys are created only when you use the relevant setting (for example when you change the language or theme or add an item to the comparison) and remain on your device until you delete them.
5. Notice and your preferences
When you first open the site, a notice is shown. By choosing “Accept”, you allow the preferences above to be stored on your device.
If you choose “Essential only”, only the karos_consent key needed to remember that choice is stored. Language, theme, filters and similar preferences are applied only for the current page view, are not saved, and are forgotten when you reload or close the page.
You can change your choice at any time via the “Privacy preferences” link in the footer or the buttons below. The “Delete local data” button deletes all local data of this site and reloads the page. You can achieve the same result by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
6. Hosting and technical connection data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit the site, technically necessary connection data is processed so that pages can be delivered to you: IP address, browser and operating system information (user agent), the requested address, date and time. Cloudflare processes and stores this data to deliver the site, ensure security and prevent attacks and abuse, under its own privacy policy.
The site operator does not use this data to identify visitors and runs no logging system of its own; to monitor the service, the operator can only see aggregated, non-identifying statistics provided by Cloudflare (for example request counts).
7. Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To understand how the wiki is used and to keep it fast, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. For this purpose, the script https://static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js is loaded on every page; when a page loads, it sends the following data to cloudflareinsights.com: the page address (URL/path), the referring page (referrer), the browser and operating system type (user agent), the screen size, page-load timing (performance) metrics and the country, which Cloudflare derives from the IP address.
The script sets no cookies, does not use local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage) and does not use fingerprinting. Cloudflare states that it does not track individual visitors across sites with this service and does not use the data for advertising; for details, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The site operator only sees aggregated statistics (numbers of visits and page views, countries, popular pages, browsers, load times) and cannot identify individual visitors.
Because nothing is stored on your device, this measurement runs regardless of your choice in the notice. It is based on the legitimate interest in understanding how the wiki is used and keeping it fast (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f), GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can block the script with a content or tracker blocker without losing any functionality of the site. The section “International transfers” below also applies to this data.
8. Legal bases
Technical connection data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in delivering the site securely and reliably, and Web Analytics data on the basis of the legitimate interest in understanding how the wiki is used and keeping it fast: KVKK Art. 5(2)(f) and GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).
Preferences in local storage are based on your choice and consent (KVKK Art. 5(1), GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); for users in the EU also Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and the national laws implementing it); you can withdraw your consent at any time. The karos_consent key that remembers your choice is strictly necessary for the function you requested.
9. International transfers
Because Cloudflare operates a global network, connection and statistics data may be processed in data centres outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area (for example in the USA). Such transfers take place only in connection with the hosting service and the Web Analytics service described above, when you visit the site. Under the GDPR they rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified (adequacy decision, GDPR Art. 45), and otherwise on the EU standard contractual clauses described in Cloudflare’s policy (GDPR Art. 46). Under Turkish law they are subject to KVKK Art. 9 and rely on the appropriate safeguards it provides for (for example standard contracts) or on its exceptions for occasional transfers. Apart from this, no data is transferred, sold or shared with third parties.
10. If you write to us
If you send an e-mail to the contact address, your e-mail address and message are used only to reply to your request, are not shared with third parties, and are deleted within a reasonable time after your request has been resolved, at the latest after 12 months (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f), GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
11. Your rights
Under KVKK Art. 11, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, and its erasure or destruction, and to have these actions notified to such third parties; to object to an outcome against you resulting exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Under GDPR Art. 15–22, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.
You can send your requests to the following address: karosrebirthwiki@gmail.com. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest. Because the site holds no data that identifies you, additional information may be needed to fulfil some requests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) or the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
12. Children
The site is open to players of all ages and does not itself collect personal data from anyone (apart from the connection and statistics data described above). We do not knowingly request personal data from children; if we notice that a child has sent us personal information, we will delete it.
13. Changes
This policy may be updated if the way the site works or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date shown at the top. In case of significant changes, the notice may be shown again.
